Peter Boulware Toyota Participates in TLMODA’s Day of Service with Backpack Giveaway Event

On August 3, 2024, Peter Boulware Toyota proudly partnered with the Toyota Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association (TLMODA) and The Salvation Army for a special Day of Service event, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to supporting education and the local community. The event, hosted here at our dealership in Tallahassee, was part of a nationwide initiative to equip students with the tools they need to succeed in the upcoming school year.

Backpack Giveaway

: Empowering Local Students

As part of this incredible initiative, we distributed 100 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to local students. Each backpack included notebooks, pencils, a pencil case, markers, and a $10 Walmart gift card to help families purchase additional supplies. The event was organized as a convenient drive-through experience, allowing families to pick up these much-needed supplies without leaving their vehicles. The smiles on the faces of students and their families as they received their backpacks were truly heartwarming.

A Nationwide Effort to Make a Difference

This backpack distribution was not just a local event but part of a larger, nationwide effort led by TLMODA. Across the country, more than 43 Toyota and Lexus dealerships participated in similar events, collectively giving away 4,400 backpacks filled with school supplies. Since 2020, TLMODA has been working alongside The Salvation Army, contributing over $1,750,000 to help address the challenges that families face nationwide. We are proud to have played a role in this initiative, helping to ensure that students in our community have the resources they need to succeed academically.
