Performance Features
Backed by the trusted Dynamic Force engineering, a four-cylinder engine block powers the 2023 Toyota Corolla SE and XSE. Displacing about 2.0 liters, the I-4 powertrain claims a 169-horsepower score from the SAE. This gasoline-burning, normally aspirated powerhouse has a maximum torque rating of 151 pound-feet. Such a patented engine makes a good pair with a continuously variable transmission system, which receives the Dynamic-Shift design. Multiple phases of combustion are governed by the Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence mechanics. If you want to push the limits of the powertrain, choose Sport Mode. Conversely, the Eco Mode will help you achieve the upper limits of fuel economy. Both Corolla models get 31 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. Most of your driving on the road will be managed by the Normal Mode.
Design Features
You can buy the 2023 Toyota Corolla SE in several single-tone colors, including Celestite, Ice Cap, Ruby Flare, or Wind Chill. This sedan is available in dual-tone paint, such as Midnight Black Metallic and Classic Silver. You’ll find the same color options for the Corolla XSE body. This high-level trim is available with the SofTex upholstery in black and red. Such color schemes are available for the SE’s premium cloth seats, which also come in a unique Moonstone finish. Covered in Gloss Black, the sports mesh is carefully inserted into the front grille of each model. Color-keyed door handles are standard in both editions. However, the XSE has color-keyed side mirrors with manual heating for superb comfort in the winter. Covered in Gray Metallic, rocker panels, and a rear spoiler certainly differentiate this high-end edition. Nevertheless, both 2023 Corolla SE and XSE have 18-inch alloy wheels and a single exhaust with dual tips. A power-tilting/sliding moonroof is already configured on the XSE version by default.
Technology Features
Standing strategically on the dashboard, an 8-inch touch screen is standard inside the 2023 Toyota Corolla SE and XSE. You don’t need data cables or wires to connect your Android device to the car’s infotainment console. By the same concept, Apple CarPlay is now fully wireless inside the cockpit. Both compact sedans offer nine advanced speakers that deliver excellent audio, especially for 425 music channels on the SiriusXM Platinum plan. Cloud navigation and concierge services are available for the exclusive Drive Connect technology. You need to buy a proper subscription to this all-new suite from Toyota Connected Services. Similarly, you must sign up for a custom plan to use the Wi-Fi Connect hub. A 12-month trial to Remote Connect is accessible only in the 2023 Corolla XSE.
