Performance Features
The 2025 4Runner is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter engine block. The turbocharged engine is built on the proprietary i-FORCE architecture and kicks out 278 net horsepower. This I-4 engine twists out 317 pound-feet of torque. The i-FORCE MAX powertrain syncs the turbo engine with a 48-hp motor and a nickel-metal hydride battery. When all hybrid components work together, they produce a total of 326 hp. This all-new hybrid propulsion system yields 465 lb-ft of torque. The electrified powertrain has a towing capacity of 6,000 pounds. Natural aspiration controls combustion in the 2024 4Runner’s 4.0-L engine block. You can tow 5,000 gross pounds with this conventional engine. Operating on the classic VVT-i technology, this V-6 powerhouse whips out 270 hp. When working at a fixed rate of 4,400 RPM, the six-cylinder engine cranks out 278 lb-ft. A five-speed automatic transmission system propels the 2024 model. You’ll get three additional gear speeds on the 2025 trim. A 4WD system is available on both of these robust Toyota SUVs. This drivetrain adopts the proven Multi-Terrain Select technology. Both vehicles have the Downhill Assist Control and Crawl Control for easy handling on the hills. Toyota offers the all-new Stabilizer Bar Disconnect Mechanism for the 2025 version. Additionally, the Old Man Emu shock absorbers reinforce the vehicle’s suspension system.
Technology Features
The 2025 4Runner offers an all-new infotainment system with a 14-inch touchscreen. You’ll embrace the 6-inch increase in the multimedia system compared to the previous generation. A 12.3-inch instrument cluster is also available on this redesigned Toyota SUV. You’ll still find a variety of Toyota Connected Services on both 4Runner versions. For example, the corporate Remote Connect package offers a complimentary 12-month trial. The Digital Key is now integrated into the 2025 4Runner’s Remote Connect app. Both models have Wi-Fi Connect with high-speed internet data through AT&T.
Safety Features
You’ll find a variety of Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 technologies on the 2025 4Runner. The Proactive Driving Assist is one of the latest additions to the iconic TSS 3.0 bundle. Thanks to the all-new Emergency Driving Stop System, you’ll drive more confidently in heavy traffic. The 2024 4Runner has the original TSS-P package with the Pre-Collision System and other crash-avoidance technologies. The first-generation safety suite includes the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. You’ll get the Full Speed Enhancement for the DRCC function on the 2025 model. Both SUVs offer the Multi-Terrain Monitor with several views. You could get the Panoramic View Monitor on the 2024 trim. The PVM provides enhanced visual cues for driving and parking in the city.
