Performance Features
The 2025 Crown Nightshade features a hybrid powertrain with a 236-horsepower output. It is equipped with a 2.5-L gasoline engine utilizing the Dynamic Force technology and a 16-valve system with VVT-iE and VVT-i mechanisms for combustion. The Toyota Direct Ignition controls each combustion cycle in the I-4 engine. The hybrid system includes a front motor delivering up to 149 pound-feet of torque and a rear motor providing 89 lb-ft of torque for improved acceleration. This hybrid sedan accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in a little over 7 seconds. It is equipped with a continuously variable transmission, combining hybrid components with the four-cylinder engine and the Electronic On-Demand AWD. The Sport Mode enhances the Dynamic Force’s responsiveness, while the Eco Mode focuses on combustion efficiency. The 2025 Crown Nightshade achieves up to 42 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. It also offers the EV Mode, utilizing the Nickel-Metal Hydride battery exclusively. On the other hand, the 2025 Platinum model features the Hybrid MAX powertrain, producing 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft. This model comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and performance enhancements such as the Sport S+ Mode and Adaptive Variable Suspension. The Platinum trim accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just under 6 seconds.

Appearance
The 2025 Crown Nightshade is decorated with dark exterior badges for true distinction. This sporty edition proudly wears the Carbon Neutrality badge, which is part of the Toyota Beyond Zero philosophy. A dark AWD badge is also applied to this athletic trim. Black accents cover the model’s exterior door handles with touch-sensitive mechanisms. The Nightshade version rolls on 21-inch alloy wheels with a Black Matte design and 10 spokes. Black accents decorate the Platinum model’s 21-inch alloy wheels. Both Crown models boast quad-LED headlamps for more powerful illumination. Additionally, these hybrid sedans have power-folding side mirrors with puddle lights.

Technology Features
A 12.3-inch multimedia system is standard on the 2025 Crown. Up to five Toyota Connected Services are integrated into the premium multimedia console. For example, you’ll enjoy a complimentary 12-month plan for the Remote Connect app. Both hybrid Toyota cars have 11 JBL speakers with SiriusXM Satellite Radio trials. The Crown Platinum distinguishes itself with a color head-up display, which projects 10 inches of graphics on the windshield. This high-end model also boasts the Digital Key for a more convenient entry. However, both editions still have the conventional Smart Key System. These efficient models come standard with a traditional HomeLink universal transceiver. Each car has a Qi-type wireless charging pad and five USB outlets.
