Performance Capabilities
The 2024 Toyota 4Runner harnesses 270 horsepower from a 4.0-L engine block. This six-cylinder engine is managed by the Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence. Every combustion cycle starts with the Toyota Direct Ignition. When operating at 4,400 RPM, the V-6 powerhouse unleashes 278 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission system works perfectly with the gasoline engine. Toyota offers a part-time 4WD system for the SR5 and SR5 Premium. This drivetrain takes advantage of the Active Traction Control (A-TRAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) technologies for outstanding off-road performance. Both Toyota SUVs clear the ground by up to 9.6 inches. Approaching the ground at a 33-degree angle, each vehicle has incredible climbing capabilities. These versatile 4Runner models have a departure angle of 26 degrees. With a nudge from the Hill Start Assist Control, the SUVs quickly climb steep landscapes. Both models have an independent suspension system with a double-wishbone layout. Coil springs and a lateral rod fully reinforce the four-link rear suspension system. Featuring the iconic Variable Flow Control (VFC) technology, the steering wheel ensures sporty and safe handling. Additionally, these premium Toyota SUVs have power-assisted disc brakes with vents.
Interior Amenities
The 2024 4Runner SR5 and SR5 Premium offer 39.3 inches of headroom and 41.7 inches of legroom in the first row. These large SUVs have up to 32.9 inches of legroom in the second row. Passengers in the third row get up to 29.3 inches of legroom. When equipped with a moonroof, the SR5 Premium offers slightly less interior space in every row. Both Toyota models can haul a maximum of 88.8 cubic feet of cargo volume. When people fully occupy the cabin, you can haul 9.0 cubic feet of cargo. You can add a 50-50 flat-folding seat in the SR5 Premium’s third row. This upgraded edition also has a heated steering wheel and SofTex seats.
Technology Features
The 2024 4Runner base model has a standard multimedia system with an 8-inch display. You’ll get several upgraded features on the 2024 4Runner SR5 Premium’s infotainment console.
