2023 Toyota Tundra Performance

Toyota Tundra Performance

Toyota engineers the trademark i-FORCE engine for the 2023 Tundra. Packing dual turbochargers, the entry-level 3.4-L powertrain kicks out 358 net horsepower. When operating at 2,000 RPM, the signature V-6 engine unleashes 406 pound-feet of torque. Most models extract 389 hp from the upgraded six-cylinder engine. When spinning at 2,400 RPM, the modified twin-turbo powerplant dishes out 479 lb-ft. When wearing the exclusive i-FORCE MAX label, the engine generates an astonishing 437 hp and 583 lb-ft. Electric wastegates regulate combustion cycles in all engines on this premium Toyota pickup truck. A water-filled cooling system quickly absorbs excess heat from the combustion chambers of the turbo powertrain. With this all-new truck, you can now tow 12,000 gross pounds and haul 1,940 pounds. Some tremendous power comes from the 288-V battery pack and an electric motor. Such a parallel-type hybrid system works in tandem with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2023 Tundra also offers segment-leading driving modes, such as the Sport S+ and Custom. Tuned for daily driving on paved roads, the rear-wheel drive diverts power to two wheels. A two-speed transfer case enables the split of torque in the 4WDemand system. If you need a better grip on off-road trails, choose an electronically locking differential for the rear driveline. This tough Toyota truck has other mechanical items tuned for off-roading, like the Bilstein shocks and Load-leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension. The Multi-Terrain Select retains the familiar Rock Mode and all-new Mogul Mode. Additionally, the button-activated Crawl Control helps the vehicle tackle slopes with confidence.
